Book Companion

This is the companion website for the Real World Algorithms book, published by the MIT Press. It contains additional material and information on the book.

The book is an introduction to algorithms for those with little background in computer science. It provides an overview of fundamentals of algorithms and computational thinking taking a real-world perspective as algorithms cover our everyday experience.

The additional material includes:
  • Notes for the chapters of the book.
  • Assignments that you can use to deepen your algorithmic and programming skills.
  • Information on translations.
  • Errata (alas).

In addition, a full set of slides, one deck per chapter, can be requested from the publisher.
